Online Desk  :   Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain has said that the government will recruit one lakh health workers, 80,000 of them women, across the country to deliver healthcare to people's doorsteps, as the Prime Minister wants to bring a revolutionary change in the health sector. He announced this while addressing a programme at General Hospital (Victoria) in Narayanganj on Sunday afternoon, June 14. Today, Intensive Care Units (ICUs) were inaugurated in 10 districts, including Narayanganj, from the hospital. The minister said the government will construct two 1500-bed specialised hospitals in the country dedicated to women, and there will be kidney dialysis, breast cancer, urinary cancer, disability and delivery units. Apart from this, 20 1000-bed hospitals will be built, and each will be provided with five ambulances and four helicopters, he added.
